How about we teach people they can live with pain. Cancer pain is one thing. Short term pain should be dealt with Tylenol, Motrin, Advil etc. narcotics are handed out too freely.

Unfortunately prescription pain medication IS being denied to people with long term chronic pain conditions including cancer. Doctors are being punished for treating those with chronic conditions and patients are suffering unnecessarily.

Er... Maybe address the pharma companies who peddled this stuff in the first place..
-
Where does personal responsibility start? Should every alcoholic sue Jim Beam or Miler beer for their alcoholism.?Those companies peddle their booze/beer, and far more folks abuse and die from alcohol than OxyContin. OxyContin came with far more warnings than alcohol does.

Our country is well on it's way for more litigation. Not speaking of states v. Mfg of

Here's an original idea. Let people control their own destiny and big government can stay out of their lives. A few thousand people OD and the gov't wants to make impossible for a billion people to get some pain relief. They tried it with liquor and pot now its legal.
-
About half that OD did it 2 get out of the pain they were in. they left a suicide note but the CDC doesn't want anyone to know that. I know that because i have a Dr friend I go 2 church with that told me that because he got a letter from the CDC people asking not 2 say anything.
