In the past two months there have been 538 fraudulent family units apprehended at the Southern border—adults who illegally crossed our border with kids who are not their own in an attempt to enter our country.

How many of them were aunts, uncles, or grandparents? You count those as "fraudulent family units" even though most would say they aren't. Maybe it's time for comprehensive immigration reform so we can stop handling this in a way that's subject to the whims of the Cabinet.

Come in legally and be vetted...why is this a bad thing?

It's like there's a new Twitter avatar created every single hour that requires people to explain that presenting yourself at the border to request asylum IS how they are legally vetted.

Legally, Mexico already granted them the right to apply for asylum, so that dog won’t hunt.

That doesn't mean they have to stay in Mexico. That's not how it works.

International law states that once you leVe your country you have to apply for asylum to the first safe country you enter. To get asylum you have to prove guy you are under direct threat from your government. All those men at the border look pretty fat and healthy to me...

Maybe we should put the children up for adoption and locked up fake parents in solitary confinement on bread and water like the old days Thomas goodish

Lock up Aunts, Uncles, older siblings, and Grandparents? Some of these kids have lost their parents. That does not make the family unit illegitimate. Can anyone just be honest?

Defining The problem and coming up with a solution starts with stopping the flow, cant fix a dam while the water is flowing over.

Well you damn well better be able to fix a dam if it’s water is overflowing. Bad analogy. They will go over, around, under, or through your wall. It is a symbol, not a solution. It has become a monument to hatred, fear mongering, and the worst of us. I pray it never gets built.

I believe it. We've had 50,000+ illegals cross in the McAllen TX sector since Oct. I've seen them picked up at the river by busloads. Go to @CBPRGV or any @CBP sector to see what we are dealing with on border! #BuildTheWall
