Hi @WhelpSlayer do you have any insight as to why Kickstarters like 7th Continent cannot ship on a first come i.e. first completed PM first served basis once they've reached different hubs around the world? I know it's more complicated but should be doable?

For one, the logistics needed to put a specific order into place for over for over 40 thousand packages would be insane. I know it seems as simple as going down a list but it is very time inefficient.

Most dispatchers will proceed by area, reward or other element that will make their process much more efficient. Doing otherwise would slow them down drastically, raising the price of shipping and dragging out the delivery phase.

Next, it’s not actually as fair a system as it sounds. For example as we’re European, our posts go up according to the European time zone. This means that anyone not in that time zone when the PM goes up is at a disadvantage, in the case of our Euro/RoW hub for example.

This goes the same for somewhere like the USA where the time difference is so great that the West Coast will have an advantage over the East Coast. This is before we factor in people that work long or unusual hours, etc.

Finally, it’s a question of simplicity. International shipping is an impenetrable nightmare that’s only really understood by those within the industry.

As a project manager myself I can guarantee you that your number one priority when it comes to shipping is to keep it as simple as possible so that you can focus on all the other things that come with running a KS campaign.
