"time to abuse the power that's entrusted in me" It's not meant to be a 1-1 official statement on the Sonic movie, it's a random rant she had after thinking about it

so you just proved my fucking point about using a throw away gag to criticise a movie while STILL being wrong. an abuse of power isn't always brutality, i use my position to unfairly better my own odds of recieving bonuses or taking bribes to look the other way. done abuse.

That was never the point though? Penny never said "There is police brutality in this film and the film glorifies it" she was just giving her own throwaway thought about cops within media

you know i actually did support the protests until people started using the momentum OF A GUYS FUCKING MURDER to justify censoring tv shows and movies right? hence i specify the UK since that's where the censorship is happening

hmm yes considering the effect media may have on the perception of the world in the face of, police brutality, systemic racism and the death of innocent black folk is truly something we could ignore The latest episode of Paw Patrol is way more important than addressing issues

exactly that's my fucking point (not paw patrol i know that's bait, i hope) people going after old statues and little britain while people are getting fucking shot with rubber bullets while being tear gassed. why are you lot promoting the diversion of that attention?

Little Britain was purely decided by executives, no one was calling for it to be taken down People aren't diverting attention, multiple things can be acknowledged at once

yes to a point, i haven't blocked any BLM stuff on my feed cause i'm still supporting the defund police protests, i've been seeing less and less of it over the past week. i've seen more people claiming others are racists for not agreeing with them than i have the ongoing news.

They're probably calling people who ignore the corruption and prejudice going on when it's right in front of them racist Just because something is a disagreement doesn't mean people involved aren't being toxic or ignorant
