Before I even turned 10, before my brother was born, my family was harassed frequently by a racist family nearby They stole my bike, they smashed our windows, endangered our neighbours and they'd bring all their friends to block the pathway to the house and yell slurs

We were terrified. After my brother was born we had to move out of there to keep him and my mum safe. In my early secondary school years, white kids would follow me around jeering at me with forced accents and dumb stereotypes, asking me if my parents beat me.

For many years a white friend of mine kept telling me I don't act black. When I was 13 online I got told to go back to Africa.

Don't worry Bro speak you're truth. I had very similar experience to this in middle school. They would call me a Oreo because I spoke well. While also demanding to feel my hair because it felt like cotton.
