Zebrahead was a really good pick for a Sonic theme song. I think the punk rock sound really fit the character.

No, the lyrics were written and performed by Matty Lewis and Tabatabaee of Zebrahead for the original song. The Zebrahead remix of the song features the whole band as opposed to just the two.
