People don't argue to be heard, to let people understand where they're coming from, they argue so they can get twitter brownie points from the people they agree with for "dunking" on someone they don't agree with, whether that's for something trivial or really big
The alt-right manages to trick people onto their side by approaching them casually and indoctrinating them, appealing to their insecurities and weaknesses as opposed to yelling at them about how bigoted what they said is Bigotry is never okay, but you're not saying why it isn't
"I shouldn't have to educate them, google is free" so were the years of them being told that these things were okay, education is the one way to get people to understand and stop these things, not only do you stop someone being bigoted, you help stop that idea from spreading
Controversial statement, but I don't think everyone who says something bigoted will always be a bigot and nothing else, not if you talk to them normally (doesn't apply to people who actively practice prejudice/discrimination/bigotry/violence/being a cunt)
