this is probably where people are gonna stop reading, but gender is a spectrum, and science has made the distinction between sex and gender for years now the issue is the society's need for labels and absolutes didn't allow for it, everything had to be one way or another--
But now the "rules" of sex/gender have been broken and it shows that we don't really need all these "rules", especially when gender means different things to different people, I feel the opposition to acknowledging gender as a spectrum is rooted in old societal transphobia--
And a lot of other things are on a spectrum, like old ideas of good and bad are so antiquated because nothing is truly just good or bad, because those are subjective, something can be flawed, it can have a negative effect on you, something can cause you pain, but something being-
