People say after Shadow the Hedgehog was the "Dark age" of Sonic until Generations but I honestly think that era was fine in comparison to now Sonic these days seems supported by nostalgia, mainly through mania, and while I really liked Mania I'd rather it be a one time thing--

--rather than the future of the franchise The Sonic series currently (excluding comics) feels like it's scared and ashamed of it's past, like how they never let Shadow be much more than a Vegeta clone, or try and tell a grander story like SA2 or opt to use Classic Sonic as --

--opposed to the huge cast of characters, (and retconning him to being from a different dimension rather than from the past so they can potentially use him again in future) I miss the days where they'd be more experimental with the franchise Say what you will about Shadow The --

--Hedgehog but at least they tried to make something interesting, compared to Forces which is just a bare boned imitation of both modern and classic Sonic

And another thing, not everything needs to be this huge event (That turns out to not deliver on that) I miss all the spinoffs, I miss when stuff was happening, I miss when people were connecting stuff it was so cool, Sonic Battle, Sonic Riders, Triple Trouble, Sonic fucking R

Also the Sonic Movie I like the shoes, they should honestly update Sonic's design and give him shoes like that I hate the arms, tan arms always worked better with the designs It's hard to describe
