Status Update: Youtube has tried to clarify COPPA's guidelines, but things are still too vague. Not to mention how they're completely ignoring the fact COPPA has an exception for "all ages" content. So instead of deleting my videos, I will make them Private for the time being.
COPPA's guidelines are based around stopping Google from capturing data from children There's been a lot of misinformation spread around and there was a video clearing a lot of it up but it's privated now Content that is appropriate for or contains ip appropriate for kids is safe

That's not the issue I have with COPPA. My issue lies in the strictness of having to mark your content as for or not for kids with no in-between and users being heavily fined if videos are incorrectly marked. Youtube could easily resolve this by adding an "all ages" content mark.

The fine is blown way out of proportion And marking not for kids means not directed at kids If it's appropriate for kids then it remains unaffected The channels that fall under this are more like Pink Fong, directed at super young children
