I don't think it matters if the MCU is "real cinema" What matters is that people resonate with it, not just for the action or some kind of power fantasy thrill, but because they can connect with the characters and enjoy them.
Marvel comics these days has quite a focus on interpersonal and intrapersonal characters and stories and I think the MCU especially as of recent has started to embody that. Yeah, I look forward to a climactic fight scene like anyone else but a large part of watching these films--
