I'm siding with Sony. From a business stand point, the 50/50 gross split Disney wanted is just absurd. They probably looked at FFH's gross, and got hungry. Besides, who allowed SpiderVerse to happen? Or even Venom? And was he ever really the most important part of the MCU?
They also allowed The Amazing Spider-Man to happen He may not be the most important in the MCU, but he's definitely one of the most important in MARVEL as a whole, and in Stan Lee's legacy
