The articles have two different writers When the original one tweeted about it they did mention in the replies about how they weren’t 100% sure (not the best to write an article about it then) and how they wanted to be wrong I think the backlash was overblown

Apparently original article was a rough draft that Kotaku's editor decided to publish as is without notifying the author, aka without permission, and now refuses to delete it. The whole thing reeks.
