My prayers are with you Lindsay. I'm so tired.
-
Chronic illness is exhausting. Most people don't understand it's not, "My body is exhausted from just working 12 hours of manual labor" its, "My body is exhausted from doing it's basic functions." It's not easy. I hope that there is decent symptom management for you.
-
No not for me. I will die from this disease. If I can't heal from this current situtation, I don't know. I'm tired.

I’m not defending the policy, but those who receive SSDI/SSI are expempt from work requirements.
-
SSDI/SSI can take a year or more to come through. Pending applications don’t count. My own recent cancer journey from diagnosis to returning to work was three months. Earlier this year, time from first SSDI/SSI appointment to when I got the *application* was six months.
-
Oh for sure. I don’t agree with work requirements any way. But I wouldn’t want those w/those benefits to think they can’t be covered.
-
I just wish SSDI/SSI was workable for most people with disabilities. It’s really not. According to their own algorithms I’m supposed to be a slam dunk for 100% disability, I was fast tracked, and it was still far too slow, punitive, and unworkable.
-
I agree completely. I myself have a disability & I work in the field getting people connected with services (mostly case mgmt now) and I can’t express the disdain I have for our lack of a safety net. It’s like a basket ball hoop w/no net. It’s dark and gloomy.
-
My caseworker was awesome and compassionate. Tried hard to get my case through and make disability work for me. I can’t imagine what his caseload must be like. I wound up just sucking it up, which isn’t easy with two competing blood disorders but I’m a real “live to work” sort.

I’m sorry. I believe healthcare is a human right.
-
I think every American should have access to the same insurance as their Senators and Representative.

I’m truly sorry for your situation but you do realize that Democrat Congresspeople are also exempt from Obamacare, right? If they truly cared about your plight they would forego their own taxpayer-funded cadillac healthcare plans in protest. Don’t pin this all on the GOP.
-
Democrats aren't trying to take away coverage for Pre-Existing conditions.

They hate everyone.

was going to say except themselves but I think they do hate themselves.

My guess as well.
