We need to seriously be exploring Municipal Enterprise as a funding mechanism. City owned and operated businesses. Coffee shops, co-working spaces, barber shops, grocery stores, etc. Downtown Atlanta needs a Department Store, why can't

Could some sort of low interest loan or grant program for homeowners to build ADUs on their property and ensure they are leased out, instead of AirBnB'd be an option? Adds affordable housing in existing, walkable, and transit accessible neighborhoods; benefits renters and owners

I also think we need to crack down on all these "luxury" airbnbs. Isn't it illegal in Atlanta to run a full time airbnb without a hotel license? People are getting kicked out of their rentals because their landlords want to convert to airbnbs.

At least. To your point, maybe closer to $500M. I hear there's a big bank merger that may involve a former Atlanta-based megabank. They'd sure like to get that merger approved. Perhaps, a multi-year $500M commitment seems like a conversation worth having, Councilman.

Clamping down on co-housing, one of the ways that people can afford housing, is not the solution
