    Watching the #RestaurantMakesMistakes and astonished to learn that people with dementia struggle to get benefits. Is this true? And if so, how is this not a national scandal?

        Yes it's true + my mother who had dementia, only got the NHS to pay for her stay in a care home because she also had cancer. Had it been just dementia, she would have had to pay for it.

        Completely utterly true! It is a disgrace. Can’t get even a council tax exemption for my 61yo mother (even though it lists dementia) because she doesn’t qualify for benefits. Another cost on top of very expensive private care 😩

        Are you serious?? Are you not married to someone who helped to ensure that all ill, poor and vulnerable people are punished and sanctioned into poverty and desperation? You must be having a laugh here. And I find it perfectly disgusting.
