Who in South Carolina is paying attention to the Statewide Constitutional Amendments which will be on our ballot in the General Election? Haven't heard a thing about them.
Which candidate has a take on whether they would have positive or negative impacts on SC citizens?

I wouldn't mind a little background on how these got on the ballot. Who were some of the co-sponsors?

scstatehouse.gov/sess124_2021-2 They got on the ballot after passing both houses of the Legislature unanimously. These amendments will strengthen SC’s financial standing by saving 10% of revenue every year.
These amendments will boost our rainy day funds without raising taxes! Instead it diverts an increased amount of revenues to reserves.

Why did legislators opt to put these on the ballot instead of passing them outright?

Increasing our reserves will ensure SC is financially ready to meet the next economic crisis by having plenty of money in our rainy day fund.
