I think the latest @TeamYouTube policy is a good call even though I don't qualify for monetization anymore. Let's stop hating on YouTube for every step they take, it is becoming a meaningless trend. I fully support this decision.

Many people are either stealing content, creating clickbait videos or uploading inappropriate content just to get views and therefore money. The new policy prevents this from happening, in the end it makes the platform a safer and cleaner place.
Yeah, but to do that, the numbers are way too miniscule Either make it bigger, so only really big channels are partners, or make it smaller like it has been This barrier isn't helping anyone

I agree that the numbers might be a little small but overall it is a good step in the right direction. I am sure this is a just a test phase for the new policy and the details are subject to change.
