First of all, thank you for coming back to me, Scott.
Here are the actual numbers, courtesy of the @SFPD: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1shF9HBKAyaxjCkFMbnpdr6ORZtFnWds-HW0AXGkDdd0/edit?usp=sharing …
It is technically correct that OVERALL crime 2021 vs 2019 is down 2% - but:
Homicides +48.3%
Burglaries +47.1%
Arson +57.0%
Car theft +31.8%

Why are overall numbers down? Because all crimes were down that required people to be out and about - which they weren't, due to COVID. Also keep in mind that due to Prop 47, 1,000s of crimes - car break-ins, shoplifting- are now misdemeanors, which they shouldn't be. MORE

So those don't enter the stats anymore. What's more, tons of actual crimes citizens don't report anymore, because the police won't even deal with them anymore, because the cops know that DA
@chesaboudin won't prosecute them anyway anymore. MORE2 replies 0 retweets 0 likes -

All of which any non-socialist, non-progressive San Franciscan could have told you, had you bothered to speak to one.

Karsten it is incredibly goofy and reductive to blame a rise of crimes re: resource scarcity on a prosecutor who deals with shit after the fact when we've been in a pandemic for 2 years with miserly government safety nets and have seen a massive exodus of tech spenders from SF.

I believe there are many reasons why crime is up nationally. But not prosecuting repeat violent offenders; not charging drug dealers; not criminalizing hard drug use; not using gang enhancements -- that's 100%
@chesaboudin's fault and that of socialist & progressive politicians.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

This is getting boring. You just admitted that violent crime went down. Where's your data on repeat violent offenders not being prosecuted? Seems entirely made up to me. Chesa charged a higher percentage of homicide cases than Gascon did.https://jkalven.medium.com/dont-believe-the-lie-that-da-boudin-is-not-bringing-charges-4e8a8c2a1fe6 …

Jessica, my apologies, and I don't have time for trolls or ideologues. I literally showed in this thread data from the ground, which you to ignored - that's your choice. MORE

As far as
@GeorgeGascon is concerned, it is somewhat ironic that you bring him up since he is as bad a DA as is@chesaboudin - minus the childhood trauma that Mr. Boudin works through at the cost of public safety in our city.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

That wasn't data on your claim of repeat violent offenders not being prosecuted. You fully pulled that one out of your butt dude

Six innocents were killed in our city by repeat violent offenders, starting with the guy who came from a burglary, high on Fent, in a stolen car, & then ran over two women back on New Year's Eve. That was 6 back in May, when I stopped counting. I am not lying to you, you know?
