I am sorry, Dana, but I disagree with you. I am sure you’re a good person and you think you’re doing the right thing. But it is incomprehensible to me how activist do not understand that while there is a long term issue with regard to drug economics and mass incarceration... 1/

... there is also a short term drug issue that killed over 600 People last year, twice as many as Covid-19. Many of these people would still be alive if we locked away dealers.

Do we have to address the underlying causes of crime? Absolutely. Do we have to work on rehabbing criminals? Sure. But I fail to see the wisdom in prioritizing long term social programs that will take decades to take effect, if ever, over the immediate duty to protect innocents.
