The real wtf here though, is why Solano didn't process the even bigger ticket crime. He was Solano's to lose, and now he's charged with murder.

The pattern here is he already had a larger outstanding warrant in another jurisdiction and was released to that jurisdiction. That is a pattern I support. If he didn't have that warrant, yeah, I'd want to see him charged here, because I care about petty phone theft too.

Let’s stop putting it off on others for whatever reason, especially when we must assume incompetence or “poor criminals” lenience. Think you can break the law in SF? You go to jail in SF. You stay in jail in SF.
