They don't though. They choose to, to avoid legal issues on their end. But they should blacklist obvious abuse like this, and take a stand and take the fight on the few occasions a conflict happens.

Read what I said... They can easily filter out suspicious mass claims and manually handle each one. If the claimant persists (they don't), then you can make a case out of it for the claimed videos.

And you are 100% wrong. It is a legal process. It is not up to YouTube to decide who is abusive and what factors is abusive and only serves to open YouTube to massive damages.

Yes it is. If a claimant is insistent they can drag YouTube to court. YouTube chose an automated system, not the law.
