Is there any watch/build task running in the background? You can improve the performance by excluding the output folder in Preferences | Directories

No watches or constantly running build / test tasks within the IDE. I’ve been doing all of those in an external terminal for a while do to these kinds of issues. As an aside, I’ve excluded every folder on the project except those that have views, JS, or TS files.

Running them outside of the IDE will still trigger file changes notifications which lead to reindexing. Excluding output should help. What kind of build are you running BTW? What’s the output folder?
