@WebStormIDE Is there a way to stop the IDE from defaulting the working directory to the location of the test/spec?

Sorry for not replying sooner. Do you run tests with Jest? The problem has been fixed in WebStorm 2018.1.2: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/WEB-31951 Please let us know if the update helps.

Yes, problem in relation to running integration tests with jest in combination with dotenv. Worked around it meantime with something like: require("dotenv").config({path: require("find-config")(".env")});

So the fix in WebStorm 2018.1.2 didn't help? Can you please report us a new issue about the problems with your Jest + dotenv setup? Thank you!

I didn't try yet. Let me try now, and open a ticket if it does not work as expected.
