@WebStormIDE Hi, in IDE's terminal, is there any operation will cause the terminal git console output 'nothing to commit, working tree clean' when git commit in the git GUI tools, but there still are some files in the 'Local Changes' panel of terminal

Can you please clarify once again: what shows git in the Terminal? what shows the VCS tool window in the IDE? Do they use the same git version?

In the bottom bar 'Version Control', the 'Local Changes' panel shows a file, I think it means that I have a file which has some changes and doesn't be committed or stashed, but if I click the 'show Diff', it tells me that 'Contents are identical'

Forget to say, the file has been committed and pushed before

But if I run 'git status' in any terminal, it will tell me that my workspace is not clean, and list some files, and then I run 'git diff xxxx', it will show some diffs of the file, but in fact the diff is not correct because I check my remote branch

E.g. The 'git diff xxx' shows '+ foo = bar', but my remote branch already has the '+ foo = bar', I think that's why the 'show Diffs' says 'Contents are identical'

'Do they use the same git version?', I think yes, I don't change version during these operations
