.@WebStormIDE is there a way to run an external tool to replace the currently highlighted text in the editor?

You're using Tools | External tools, right? There's an option to pass the selected text to the tool.

But it seems that most of the tools would just output the selected text and not override the file. So that's probably not what you want...

Ideally it would replace the text in place, but I can't even get it to output the return from the command for some reason

It's just a python script that creates a specific title case format.

If the script rewrites and saves the file itself, then it should work... Is the script available on GitHub?

It's much simpler than that; it just takes text as input and returns text formatted in a custom title case. Probably not worth more work…
