The most annoying time waster in @WebStormIDE is that regardless of settings it always tries to treat node_modules as a library mapping.

The manual updates are pretty annoying too. Or have I missed some setting?

There're patch-updates for all consecutive bug-fix updates and in most cases between the major versions as well.

Sorry, I was unclear. I don’t mind patch updates at all. But I do mind getting the prompt *when I launch the app*.

Please try
@JBToolbox app. It should solve this problem for you - you can update whenever you're ready.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -
OK, I may do that. But why a separate toolbox to fix auto updates?

What is the best time for the IDE to show you the update notification? It seems showing it when you're already working with it is even worse

Never notify me, just update it silently between launches. The exception is if I haven’t quit the app and there’s a week-old pending update.

Automatic update feature will be available in the next release.

Still only through Toolbox? If so, why?

Toolbox already solves this problem (and also makes it easier to open projects), so we don’t have plans to reimplement it in the IDE
