some pros and cons of using tagged literals for your next lib -pic.twitter.com/WIbb8pioKD
One thing I'd like to see is returning a function from the tagged literal for dynamic values. css`color:${(color) => color}`(myColor)
are we getting easier with syntax highlighting here?
I'm not just talking about css. That's just the example I had on my clipboard. I didn't even realize that was valid syntax until yesterday
I was thinking about what if we turn around declarations to always start with css`` so that highlighters always know what to look for.
Ahh yeah. The atom plugin "language-babel" does this. I'm not sure how the support is in other editors is though. @WebStormIDE refuses to.
We always welcome plugins for any CSS-in-JS libraries.
Do you know of anything similar I could fork?
Nothing very similar, only Angular plugin where template language with JS inside of HTML is injected into JS/TS: https://github.com/JetBrains/intellij-plugins/blob/master/AngularJS/src/org/angularjs/editor/Angular2Injector.java#L34 …
And here's a TextMate bundle for Styled Components that also adds highlighting if you add it into WebStorm: https://github.com/garetmckinley/styled-babel-sublime …
