As I get older I am finding that formatting matters… especially on code that lives for years across multiple dev. Readability matters.

Ha ha, but I think my formatting is more readable … which, of course, is highly subjective. Many people dislike my formatting greatly.

Here’s what drives me crazy. Standard complains about no space after throw here: throw( new Error() ) … but NOT here: throw( new … )

Does you editor have support for fixing the formatting errors? I thought I read that Webstorm/IntelliJ was going to support standard.

Right, WebStorm and IntelliJ IDEA 2017.1 support Standard and you can use its fix option from the editor: https://blog.jetbrains.com/webstorm/2017/04/using-javascript-standard-style/ …
