Sorry, I'm not sure I'm following. To see .bin folder in the file chooser hit cmd-shift-g and type the folder path.

Ok I'll try that; without the keyboard shortcut the UI doesn't have a way to see the .bin? Finder is showing it but not the dialog in ws

I had changed finder default to show hidden folders so I shouldn't need a keyboard combo to show it in webstorm

It's a native OS file chooser, the same you'll see when choosing a file in any other app. I tested Apple's apps, you won't see hidden files
