@tlhunter got it! JSHint works, but it seems that define is highlighted because of WebStorm's built-in inspections - it can't resolve it.
@tlhunter you can try using TypeScript definition files for Jasmine and Assert - go to Preferences | JS libraries, then Download - TS stubs
@WebStormIDE aah, so the predef section isn't being used at all? Is there a different syntax one can use to resolve those little squiggles?!
@tlhunter it's used: you don't get errors from JSHint (they are highlighted in red by default), you just get errors from our own linter
