Do we understand correctly that you're wondering whether JavaScript support comes out of the box? If so, then yes, you don't need to configure anything to get JavaScript support in WebStorm. The same applies to TypeScript and popular frameworks like Vue, React and Angular.

Hi, just wondering if you have taken the time to read the WebStorm documentation. It walks through setting up all types of projects.

You could try looking through the menus. Or go to their web site. Becoming a good programmer is built on curiosity and figuring stuff out yourself.
