You can add location information to your Tweets, such as your city or precise location, from the web and via third-party applications. You always have the option to delete your Tweet location history. Learn more
As a side note, in the native dialog that is used to enter GitHub credentials, the "Password" field is misleading, because with GitHub, you don't enter a password, you enter an OAuth token that you need to generate. You might want to reflect this in the UI.
