They are both great, so apologies for the criticism!
TLDR:
- VSCode please improve your search (and a couple of other things)
- WebStorm please improve your performance

But the VsCode had the plugins that bring it closer (never too much for my experience) to WebStorm? Because the newly installed VsCode is very light and fast, but it's good for little.

There are many plugins available for VSCode, and some of them can indeed provide the features that WebStorm has built in. But in some areas (like search results) we cannot get the same behaviour as WebStorm. (Although there is a plugin to display results like SublimeText does!)
