I don’t understand how VS Code users tolerate a bright blue status bar with mostly irrelevant information. Can someone explain?

Would give webstorm a shot but the cost is so prohibitive
-
There’s a 30 day trial available to try and the price for personal use is not so high (https://www.jetbrains.com/webstorm/buy/#edition=personal …)

Can we hide menubar on windows too?
-
Do you mean the main window menu (File, View...)? Sorry, you can't hide it.

Your IDE is awesome. I use it for JS projects and it's just fantastic. The problem for me personally is that it's kinda (understandably) slow compared to an editor like VS Code and also editors mostly display fewer actions at first glance.
-
That's not to say that they're not customizable or anything, just the fact that at first glance it'll throw off someone who loves simplicity. But I have to say I love how configurable you've made the IDE. It took me a day but it's serving me great now.

well, your colora are kind of depressive, that gray and orange looks like a program from the 90’s (a cool one). but mostly:
@code is OSS
-
IntelliJ Community Edition is also OSS
