I agree in most of the statements about Webstorm. Actually, I have a license for myself as well as a company license for work and pretty confident that Webstorm can equal or beat VSCode in 99% of its features... Now, for my personal preference, there are a couple of "buts":

Webstorm git (or other VCS) integration is great! But I prefer a lot to work with git directly in the terminal, even with VSCode, the only feature I use from the git integration is checking diffs sometimes before committing.

Running tests directly with some key strokes. Yes, that's great! But most of the times, that can be achieved with npm scripts too, with a watch or reload changed when necessary. With Webstorm you are bound to what the IDE can guess about your project...

E.g: Jest test detection works great, but only if you have Jest as a direct dependency and not a transitive one!
