Sorry, not sure we understand where you are getting this warning. Please make sure that coding assistance for Node.js APIs is enabled - you can do that in Preferences | Languages and Frameworks | Node.js and npm
if I have the NodeJS API active, Buffer is no longer a module (it is described in the documentation), now it is a Global Class, WebStorm should not send me a warning.
Do we understand correctly that you are talking about the warning on `from`, right? Or is it some other warning related to `require('buffer').Buffer` that is not visible on the screenshot?
require ('buffer'). Buffer 'is no longer necessary, it is no longer a module, now The Buffer class is within the global scope.pic.twitter.com/B6iqr0rqVz
Thank you, but can you please share a screenshot showing a warning in WebStorm and the suggestion to add a require statement. We can't reproduce it. Your previous screenshot doesn't show that either.
I understand that it can be corrected by requiring the module (const Buffer = require ('buffer')), but it is no longer necessary. now The Buffer class is within the global scope.pic.twitter.com/iW9JHyZklw
Thanks! The warning is not specific to Buffer actually and is caused by the way we handle some cases in the d.ts files in general. Thank you for reporting an issue on YouTrack.
