waaah @WebStormIDE, what did ya guys do to the debugger?!? Have a local node server connected to debugger via JS debug config. Now bad things happen at breakpoint:
- a read-only version of the file the breakpoint is in opens
- stepping through doesn't sync w/ file highlight

ok, fix seems to be to hardwire the local URL as "remote URL" to the local folder acting as docroot. sorry for the uproar, but
@WebStormIDE's debugger is one of the primary reasons I'm using the IDEpic.twitter.com/Kumw34gxp7

Hi, are there source maps in your app? What do you use to generate them? Usually, all the mappings are resolved based on them. Or if the url pattern matches the project structure, WebStorm should resolve the paths.

thx for the hints, but no src maps here. And the URL pattern matches the proj structure - so might be a bug in the auto resolver. need details?

no idea why, but today, things have even become worse - URL mapping doesn't work anymore, always have 2 files (local + served by localhost) for the same breakpoint open in debugger. contacted tech support via https://intellij-support.jetbrains.com/hc/en-us/requests/new … - now will downgrade to WS 2018.1 :( :( :(
