Every time I am creating a new `.ts` file @WebStormIDE stop responding to any keypress
When I am searching for something - Find File dialogue box is not focused, or even displayed UNDER IDE
In the meantime, WebStorm consumes 100-600% CPU even in IDLE mode
What is wrong with me?
Sorry to hear that
What WebStorm version do you use? The problem with the focus was fixed in WebStorm 2018.1.5: https://blog.jetbrains.com/webstorm/2018/06/webstorm-2018-1-5/ … Regarding TypeScript, any chance you can send us the content of the IDE log folder (menu Help - Show Logs) for investigation?

I've updated WebStorm just today - problem with focus becomes even more severe. Report #1469010 submitted. PS: And I just found from logs, that I was "low on memory", but Storm never complains about it.

Can you please also send the thread dumps from the log folder? Thanks! Have you tried WebStorm 2018.2 Early preview https://www.jetbrains.com/webstorm/eap ? Would appreciate if you give it a try and let us know in the zendesk ticket if it fixes the problem.

I have a similar issue. Webstorm and a Node process it owns use a lot of CPU and cause very fast battery drain on MacBook Pro.
