Hey Jake, we constantly work on performance improvements. Does the IDE often freeze on your projects? Or is it an overall slowness? Can you please help us investigate? - The content of the IDE log folder (menu Help - Show logs) will be helpful.

I shouldn't have to manually edit JVM options. I dont know what "XX:UseConcMarkSweepGC" and "XX:SoftRefLRUPolicyMSPerMB" means, sorry.

Sorry, we just wanted to help and offer some more advanced ways to optimize the IDE performance for bigger projects. The only option we wanted you to try and change was the -xmx option.
