Press Cmd/Ctrl-Alt-J and select Emmet to surround a block of code with an Emmet template. This also allows you to wrap individual lines if you’re using * in the abbreviation.

Yes, it is: simply select the EAP version from the dropdown menu located next to the WebStorm icon in Toolbox () and you'll be prompted to choose from the available installation options, including the EAP build. It won't overwrite the stable version:

There's a Surround with Emmet action that you can try. You can find it via Find Action or from the Surround with... popup (Alt-Cmd-T on macOS and Ctrl+Alt+T on Windows and Linux).

Avoid unnecessary typing whenever possible: when adding a new HTML element, type the name of its start tag and then press Tab. This way, WebStorm will insert the rest of the syntax for you.

Sorry, we don't have any docs covering the use of these tools specifically with Yarn 2. The IDE should detect the installation automatically. Here's an example with prettier when it's listed in package.json and installed.

Did you know that the Find Action popup (Cmd/Ctrl-Shift-A) not only lets you quickly find actions you don’t know the shortcuts for but also helps toggle some of the IDE configuration options?

  19. Jan 10

Want to reopen a file you’ve just closed, or go to a specific tool window? The Recent Files popup (Cmd/Ctrl-E) can help you do either.

  20. Jan 9

Switch to the distraction-free mode with Ctrl-` whenever you need to focus on coding – you’ll get the source code centered and all the UI elements hidden.
