I have a SON Edelux front and Toplight rear, riding daily so using the hub dynamo for convenience and reliability. The proper beam shape really helps both in town and dark lanes. A conical beam is more a nuisance. If you aim high you blind drivers, low you get a hot spot.

A problem with town is that there are so many light sources someone trying to see you has to make you out from the noise. Hard one to solve. The pulsing lights look interesting here. A solid light is easier to estimate distance for than a flashing light.

Yes... But a light up bottle won't work for me as my contigo is filled with coffee (you need something to warm you on cold winters days & nights
) oh and what you can't see (because I'm wearing it is an @ProvizSports gillet usually). Ps in town I recommend@BrainyBikeLight toopic.twitter.com/PxZ4dLjaph

I still don't understand why so many cyclists wear black clothing without any reflective strips in the dark.

Street lighting is more than bright enough. The problem is car headlights causing light pollution. They should be banned in street lit areas.

Why not just ban bikes off the roads . Bike users pay no road tax .... just saying you wont have to have pointless debates about lights then
oh and here's a though aluminium welding on bike frames creates toxic fumes that kill wildlife... how green is that ?Hvala. Twitter će to iskoristiti za poboljšanje vaše vremenske crte. PoništiPoništi
