And are you rolling out postcards for taxes? Paul Ryan promised we could do our taxes on postcards. Surely he wasn't lying, was he?

Removed the personal exemption for each member of the household and is leaving people in the middle class who are without employer sponsored health care with completely unaffordable health care. Great job to bad these middle class tax payers and voters don't count. Snake oil.

This is the sole benefit of allowing gov’t to spew partisan propaganda. Collapsing the revenue stream to empty pre-paid Medicare and SocSec has been the plan since Ryan read Rand and took the $500k check from the Kochs.
-
I can understand this view, that whoever is on duty the day these profligate programs collapses, will be blamed. And Ryan is certainly no friend of Americans. But the monumental mismanagement of Medicare and SocSec was baked into the cake from day one.
-
Even a junior asset manager could've kept those programs sound. But, huge government-run purses are always corrupted, invariably so. Like any ponzi scheme, they are a nice fiction to believe in, but can only run as long as there are new greater fools to pay into them.,
-
Which is not to say it is theoretically impossible for such programs to work. However, in practice, they have never proven robust or sound and have almost without exception revealed themselves to be ponzi schemes in short order.
-
In practice those programs (Medicare, SocSec) did work until capital accrued by their investors/beneficiaries was seen as a ‘raidable’ asset for Congressional spending. If it’s not paid out as represented, I’m owed a tax refund of $7,886 for 2017 and the max for every prior year
-
Rather, I contend they were designed from the outset as such. They were "built to spill." Moreover, I am suggesting that such raiding is Inevitable, even if aforesaid were not true. Agree on payouts.
-
As a byproduct of the “Great Depression”, SocSec was the safe haven after banks borrowed depositor assets to buy & leverage derivatives in an historic margin call default. SocSec was safe ‘til G.Sachs CEO’s ran out of junk bond financed raidable Corp trusts and subprime pump&dump
-
was the great depression engineered? yes or no.
