People are upset you can't monetize your YouTube unless you have 4,000 minutes watched in A YEAR? The $3 in revenue you lose each month isn't going to make or break your budding content creation career.

When we started youtube we made 50 dollars in a year. We were over this threshold for creators by then. I think his point is valid and It's one I've made myself. The monetization at this level (for consistent creators) isn't worth much so IMO it isn't much of an issue.
And it's more a move by @TeamYouTube to curb spam bots than anything. This really doesn't affect creators that much. $50 over the course of a year isn't that big of a deal IMO.
