So excited, can hardly contain myself. So much sallow and scrub and boggy bits for the beavers to get to work on. Can’t wait to see what they’ll do. Though it’ll be a hard push for us to get the enclosure infrastructure in for a spring release. We’ll be doing our best.

Thank you Jo. With this crowdfunder I've much greater plans for 2020. More embedded learning with thousands of children, vital teacher training sessions and after-school events for families.

I’d say Nature’s multi-curricular. Lovely and so easy to weave folklore, science, words, art, outdoor activity, music together. Behaviour, history, appearance, fairytales and statistics help each other stick...

Yup!! People get huffy about me feeding the owls but don’t think anything of feeding their garden birds. They ignore me in times of plenty much preferring to hunt for themselves

Not sure it's about just words & language. Very aware of The Lost Words & have taught with it myself, but nature/ natural history needs to be taught for nature's sake. Many pupils who could excel in the natural world, don't necessarily excel in the arts.

  15. We put up bird-feeders, don't we? So, if we live near waterways such as canals, rivers, lakes or streams, why don't we have ponds stocked with fish for otters? Such wonderful, fun loving companions to visit your gardens!

  20. If you take the fences down from your lakes, beavers will help to provide your fish with food and fish nurseries. Once there were plenty of beavers, plenty of fish and otters could happily feed on the fish in our rivers and lakes. I am glad that beavers are back in our rivers!
