America's healthcare costs are high because of the absence of market forces, not their presence. Price controls, subsidies, antitrust exemptions, regulatory barriers... drive out competition & drive up costs. To solve these problems, Congress needs a focused healthcare committee.

HR 372 - Competitive Health Insurance Reform Act of 2017 passed on 3/22/2017. By a vote of 416 - 7, the House passed a bill to end the antitrust exemptions health insurance companies exploit. As yourself, why won't the Senate vote? Then ask your Senator. https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-congress/house-bill/372/actions?q=%7B%22search%22%3A%22hr372%22%7D&r=1 …

People’s health is not something that can utilize ‘market forces’. It’s an assinine assertion you keep making that has no evidentiary backing. Why do you insist that when people are sick they have the time/$/resources to check the sale papers for the best deals?

Also that crucial graph saying Americans healthcare spending has increased 25.8% from 2007-2014 (and saying in previous paragraph that it’s bc of Obamacare) is misleading. The exchanges didn’t begin until late 2013. And that’s just one of the issues with that article.

Is this your answer to not conducting public Town Hall meetings in OH-8 for over a year? Now that there are only 40 days left you decide to speak out on an issue that is important to voters. Ever here of 'too little, too late'?

Single payer is a solution that works in most other developed countries and it’s a whole lot cheaper. “Market forces” aren’t an extension of the divine nor magical. Markets never have, never will, & aren’t supposed to provide quality everything—they provide a range of value/opt.
