He explained what options are, but that's not really what is causing the infinite gamma squeeze here--it's straight share volume and MMs having to hedge and buy more shares to keep their books balanced.
Daily option volume is huge intra-day, but 700+% of those options are not being held overnight (compare intra-day with OI). Multiple days of close to a billion shares traded is what causes these parabolic moves because it's blowing through strikes that haven't been written yet.
