That is an extreme+politicized position in favor of a specific side. There're differing opinions on that + nuances. Can't fudge the fact that more-war and less peace serves special interest subgroups on both sides who are responsible for the debacle that hurt AFG & US interests.

Partially true, because on the other hand, the Afghan government & President Ghani particularly gambled the tiny peace chance that was existing after the Doha agreement. First 6 months, he was busy winning his fraudulent election, and then another 6 months wait for d US election.

Did Semple mention that the Doha Taliban haven’t been to Afghanistan in over a decade, and mostly have 0 interest in returning since they’re currently living off of America’s largesse? Or that Taliban field commanders restrained ‘some’ of their guys just long enough...
