    Thank you to the 9819 people who voted for G&I candidates at Labour came third with 5831 and the LDs got 1778. At the next local elections due in 2023, G&I is in a good position to be the main challengers to the Tories widely across district

    Devastated to not hold Northern despite vote share increasing. Thank you to all who supported & to voters - was 76% Green & 56%. I remain on District council with G&I colleagues where we continue to be main opposition to the Tories.

    The G&I Group remains the main challengers to the Tories in district after the Aggregated votes were: Con 51%, G&I 27%, Lab 16%, LD 5%. Seats 7 Con, 1 G&I.

    Thank-you so much to everyone who supported me on Thursday as the candidate for , by voting for their community, their local environment and for the planet. We didn't win, but the Green vote increased from 4.9% to 12.8% which is great progress.

    Green County winner Paul Thorogood says the loss of at County Hall is a "big loss" but he is glad there will still be a Green voice on Essex County Council. He says planning and new homes and the loss of green space led to his victory in Braintree Eastern.

    We are sorry to say that James Abbott lost his Witham Northern county seat by just 39 votes. James has been an excellent, hard-working councillor, and the members of W&B Green Party would like to thank him for his effort and dedication over the last 8 years.
