    As a native Washingtonian, it was rough reading such an asinine piece in the Washington Post. There are many issues in our country but DC being a fun place to live now isn't one of them. This is a truly a awful op-ed !

    Whether is "cool" or not is pointless. Who cares? But if that's the basis of your argument for decentralizing the Federal Government then you should do your research . About 5 out of 6 Federal workers live *OUTSIDE* of the DC Metro Area.

    Boy, I can really sympathize with how hard it is to find somewhere to live in DC on a meager *$174,000* salary. But mid-level Hill staffers manage to live here comfortably on less than a quarter of that so boo hoo

    The New York Post spent time surveying House members and reporting from the Rayburn members gym and estimate about 100 reps sleep in their offices. "I can't afford an apartment," they say. via

    This is true anywhere unfortunately. One thing that really disgusts me with politics is the amount of folks who care more about status, “power”, and preserving both for themselves instead of using the bully pulpit to improve their communities

    Other people play politics because of the allure and 'glamour' of being in a position of power. People that I work with play politics because we care about the livelihoods of our communities.

    These stations haven’t had working chillers for like four years! Ugh 😑
